We had a real thinking day today. We began by making words from a set of seven letters. Ask your child to show you all the words they made. We had a wonderful discussion about word sounds as well as vowels, consonants, and syllables.
Next we learned about attributes. We played a game using attribute blocks. This was quite challenging. Ask your child if they can explain the word attribute and what four attributes did we look at with the blocks. There is a commercial game called SET that is an attributes game. If your child had fun today, you may want to look for it at Barnes and Noble or other stores that have a good selection of thinking games.
